What’s the point, Higher Education?

A substantial majority of all jobs in Canada do not require all this higher education. "Society does not necessary move forward in this process," says Jim Stanford [We Don't Need No Education] From this article we learn that; “One quarter of the eight million workers in Canada, with post secondary education, report that they are over qualified for their jobs.” A full quarter of college graduates are in clerical, sales or otherwise menial work. Close to 30% of all Canadians living in poverty have a least some post secondary education.” [THIS magazine - Jul / Aug 2001]
