If the mountain won’t Go to Mohammed …


GE 2000 leaps straight over all this blinked thinking and it doesn't need a special law. Why did Mr. Clinton not even consider looking at the school scheduling? Because Schools, or as some disingenuously put it "the children," are seen as sacrosanct, just an enormous sacred cow. That's how difficult education reform is. It's worldwide too.

Here is RTE, the Irish State radio. [Feb 8, 1999] Holiday travel can be far cheaper during the off season - right? Guess when schooling must take place? Yes, and guess the resulting hoo-har when families take the economic option and take a cheaper holiday with the children.
