Another powerful effect of this reform is academic freedom. Efforts such as to force, and by power of law, such as the Virginia Military Academy (VMA) to go Co-Ed and thus damage its distinctive culture, is a nonsense. At any rate, none of this would even have been an issue under General Education 2000. Virtually every school in the land could have its own distinctive culture, that’s the bloody point! Diversity is the key to greatness in education. Such as New York's famous High School for the Performing Arts would be the absolute norm, but in every conceivable subject, where there be a demand.
